EPN 7: Management development for emergencies
Deurne, The Netherlands, 8 - 10 June 2005
At the start of the EPN 7 conference we briefly touched on the hopes and expectations of what this time would bring:
- Networking
- Benchmarking
- Learning
- Discussing
- Collaboration
- Sharing
|
- Co-ordination
- Partnerships
- Quality
- Improvement Process
- Planning
- Action
|
From the feedback received each of these points have been achieved to a certain degree, though there is always room to improve. The last point, “ACTION”, now lies with you.
Very useful to meet such a wide range of people from different but relevant organisations. Particularly willing to share difficulties as well as successes.
This is a great forum to share ideas with other HR professionals in the Humanitarian/ development world.
I thought the facilitation and the team building was terrific.
Does EPN make a difference? In Tearfund the answer is 'Yes'. Following the lessons learned from a keynote speaker and in discussion with other agencies we have implemented an Internship Scheme to enhance the recruitment of new leaders.
